This youtube video shows how malnutrition is related to governance. As in water and sanitation sector, the main issue is remain the same. It is an issue of political commitment. So the video introduce a new tool that developed by Institute of Development study called HANCI (Hunger and Nutrition Commitment Index). The index that will tell us whether a government in a country has strong or weak political commitment in the food and nutrition sector.

The tool assess what governments are doing and failing to do in three areas: policies, laws and public spending. The key strength of the tool is to reveal the accountability of a government. An obligation or willingness of a government to accept responsibility to provide food and nutrition for its people.
